The Expanse – Season 2 coming to Netflix 8th September 2017.

We know there are a lot of fans of the television series The Expanse out there who are waiting with baited breath to find out when Series 2 will be appearing on Netflix UK. Well, it seems you don’t have much longer to wait because according to the Netflix UK & Ireland Fan’s Facebook page it’s due on 8th September. No official word yet as far as we can find but if this is true then it is good news for fans.

For those of you who haven’t caught up on one of the best science fiction shows on TV, The Expanse is based on the novels of James S.A. Corey, the pen name for Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. It’s a mystery and a thriller on a very wide canvas, from the blue skies of Earth, the red skies of Mars and the black, empty skies of the Asteroid Belt. It follows a number of characters including a Detective on Ceres, Joe Miller, played by Thomas Jane, the crew of the Rocinante captained by James Holden, and a politician on earth called Chrisjen Avasarala (who in the books is an elderly woman, always attired in a sari with one of the worst potty mouths you’ve ever heard).

So far there are six books in the series along with a number of novellas and they’re astronomical in size. Series 1 is currently available on Netflix UK so get watching!
