Fresh from the huge box office success of Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle which grossed almost $1 billion worldwide, not to mention his latest film, Rampage, gaining an impressive opening, Dwayne Johnson will soon be seen in the lead role of the high storey action flick Skyscraper which is set for release in July and as we are almost becoming accustomed to by now, details are already starting to emerge about another of his upcoming projects.
Disney’s Jungle Cruise will see The Rock taking the lead in a film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, which is said to be based on the classic theme park attraction, which operates in several Disney Parks across the globe, with the studio hoping to build it as a possible franchise in the vein of its Pirates of the Caribbean series, which has grossed over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office to date.
