Sebastian Stan says he never read the Avengers: Infinity War script.
The good folks here at Film ’89 Towers are often unashamed in their praise for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and all that Marvel Studios have achieved in the last decade and it would appear that the actors involved share the same faith in the now hugely successful production company. Recently Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes AKA The Winter Soldier) spoke to Collider about the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War plus it’s as yet untitled sequel;
“I didn’t read a script for the last movie, so I was kind of in the dark, which is always okay for the Winter Soldier.”
Whilst this may seem a very unusual approach for an actor, he said that he had complete faith in the Russo brothers following his previous experiences working with them;
“I think there’s just an element of trust, it’s a family system and at this point, I feel like between the writers and the Russos everyone kind of guesses their next move so to speak and I feel like they know very well what I’m going to be bringing,”
We can only guess what a mammoth task the team involved in the production have taken on as these films build to a crescendo that has been a decade in the making and having not seen a finished script it would appear that Stan will be able to enjoy it as much as the audience.
With the Avengers: Infinity War due to be released in May 2018 we’ve not got that long to find out and hopefully we may even get to see a trailer prior to Thor: Ragnarok when that film is released in November. A select few were treated to an early preview at the recent San Diego Comicon which set the internet alive with praise for the footage that was shown.
